April 25th Construction Update

The project is in its second week of construction. The asphalt and concrete removals were completed on Willow Street from Cliff Avenue to the project limits to the east. Grading work along Willow Street has started and will continue throughout the week. Private utility companies have started to relocate their utilities as needed for the project. The installation of the water main is scheduled to begin tomorrow and will continue into next week.

Willow Street will remain open to traffic until the work on Honeysuckle Street is completed. Once the work on Honeysuckle Street is complete it will be opened to traffic and Willow Street west of Cliff Avenue will then be closed.

Personnel has been aiding in pedestrian traffic movements at peak times of the day near Honeysuckle Street and Cliff Avenue.
