July 13th Construction Update

Despite the rain shower early in the week there has been a lot of activity that has taken place! All the concrete curb and gutter on Phase 1 has been completed. Concrete crews are finalizing driveway approaches this week and have poured some sidewalks west of Cliff Avenue. The colored concrete median has also been poured west of Cliff Avenue. Dirt work crews have continued to shape the granular fill in preparation for asphalt paving. Asphalt paving is scheduled for early next week and should only take a couple days to complete.

Once the asphalt surfacing is completed crews will begin working on Phase 2 of the project. Regarding Phase 2, the Cliff Avenue closure is scheduled for Wednesday July 19th. There will be access to businesses off Willow Street from the east and west of the intersection. Phase 2 will start with the removal of the existing roadway followed by grading work and underground utilities.
