May 31st Construction Update

The weather has been favorable for construction and a lot of progress has been made. The storm sewer on Willow Street west of Cliff Avenue is nearing the intersection. The excavation and grading work for the pond on the south side of Willow Street is continuing to progress as well. On the east end of Willow Street, the subgrade was fine graded and granular fill placement has started. There are a few private utilities that are continuing to complete work along Willow Street west of Cliff Avenue.

In the coming week storm sewer will continue to be installed on Willow Street west and east of Cliff Avenue. Storm sewer boxes on Willow Street are scheduled to be poured in the coming week. Grading work associated with widening the roadway will follow the storm sewer installation. Grading work along the shoulders of Cliff Avenue is also scheduled to start in the coming week. Cliff Avenue will remain open during these operations. The grading work for the pond will continue, that material will be used to fill in the shoulders along Willow Street and Cliff Avenue.
